The success of an organization is not just simply earned by the number of things they have accomplished. It is most gained through the collaborative effort of everyone’s creativity, passion, and love to serve despite every encountered failure, as one.

For the reason that the 2019 batch of Bachelor of Arts in Communication are now to finally sign off, Rywelle R. Bravo, 4th Year MCS President of Saint Louis University, willingly shared his momentous journey in handling the organization as he also leaves inspiring message for all the next aspiring leaders of Masscomm Society last April 22, 2019.

Rywelle Bravo, before becoming the president of the organization, has also yet to experience different positions such as being the treasurer during his second year and being the secretary on his 3rd - which has helped him be the kind of leader he is now.

Leadership requires a lot of patience, understanding, selflessness and the skill to manage a team of various beliefs and personalities all at the same time. During his interview, he said that leading an organization is really a tough job as there will always be conflicts of what’s right or not in a group with different set of views and opinions, however, as much as possible, as “one” team – the goal should always be about making everything work with good communication in order to result good memories.

“Enjoying the journey but never settling for the second best” is the best thing to remember in order for the future leaders to grow in the team as a team according to Bravo.

Now, what does it really take to become a competent leader?

“Be selfless and be understanding.” – Rywelle R. Bravo, Batch 2018-2019 MCS President
